Ladies and gentlemen!
Tomorrow, August 18th, 2021, between 10:00 AM and 01:00 PM, the archaeological site at Sultana – Malu Roșu is officially open for the public. During our traditional Open Day, anyone who is interested can visit the site, the base, as well as get a glimpse of our progress on the field as well as our experimental archaeology program.
We are eagerly waiting for you at Kindergarten no. 1, Str. Lehliului, No. 79, in the village of Sultana, Mânăstirea commune, Călărași county.
The project is a common enterprise of the University of Bucharest, Christian – Albrechts University of Kiel, the Museum of Municipality of Bucharest, the Museum of Lower Danube in Călărași and the Museum of Gumelnița Civilization in Oltenița, with the support of the Town Hall in Mânăstirea, the “Vasile Pârvan” Institute of Archaeology, the National History Museum of Romania, and HoGent in Belgium.
